No more wrinkled hands!

21 Nov 2009 - Saw something at NTUC which is relatively cheap in comparison to the $50 magic mop which I wanted to buy:

After much psycho-ing, the old cat agreed to get it. Its afterall about half the price of the magic mop, haha ($27.31)! Now I don't have to worry about getting my hands wrinkled. Was kinda enthu to use it after Kitty finish vacuuming the house, but after I cleaned the furnitures, it was already 6pm - cooking time. Too bad, he had to "try it" on my behalf, lol. Simple dishes for dinner - Herbal chicken soup and fried rice.

I don't like sticking magnets on the fridge. So far, there is only 1 pathetic magnet on my fridge, and its there cos I find it too pretty to hide. The old cat and I received 2 magnetic photo frames during Evelyn's wedding dinner, and I decided to make full use of them by putting our photos inside. Now our fridge has 3 magnets, lol.

New Toothbrush Holder

4 Nov 2009 - I realise that after staying in the house for 2 years, things are starting to get spoilt one after another. First the MBR feature wall cracked and we had to remove it, replacing it with wallpaper. Next, the 2-way tap in the MBR toilet started to leak and we had it replaced. In between all these we also had to service the aircon (since we use it on a daily basis) and now, the old cat found a crack in our toothbrush cum cup holder.

We have no idea how the crack came about, but one thing is for sure: we have to get it replaced sooner or later. So yesterday after work, we went to Ikea and bought a new toothbrush holder. It doesn't have a hole big enough to hold the toothpaste but its ok. At least it looks sleek, lol.

$15 for this!

Bye bye to our $38 holder:

A New Tap for our MBR Toilet

16 Oct 2009 - Recently, the old cat said that the 2-way tap in the MBR toilet was getting loose and water seem to drip. We decided to get it fixed lest it gets worse. Initially, I thought we had to get a plumber, but thanks to some googling and youtube-ing, I realised that we can actually replace the tap by ourselves! All we have to do is get a new tap, some plumbing tape and we can get started!

I started searching for tap designs, which ain't easy since 2-way tap designs are very limited. I didn't want to get the same tap too. I wanted to buy a Hansgrohe tap but unfortunately, couldn't find anything suitable. Went to IMM for lunch last Friday (10th) and dropped by Hoe Kee. We bought the first 2-way tap there. Very cheap, only $28, and the one and only nice design, lol. This time, I found 2 more similar designs! There is this particular one that I like. Its a lot more sturdy, heavier and made of stainless steel.

So on Saturday (10th), I dragged the old cat to IMM to see and we decided to get it! Its slightly bigger than the first one and of course, more expensive - $59.00.

On Sunday (11th), Kitty removed the old tap and fixed on the new one. I decided to steer clear of his way, haha! This kind of thing... better leave it to the male species, wahahahahhaa! He encountered some problems and was babbling away to me. I also didn't know why he bothered telling me cos I wasn't interested anyway. Anyway, someway somehow, 1 hr later, he announced that he fixed the problem (whatever it was)! Yay!
