Our WIW Big Mirror Collapsed!

10 Mar 2025 (Mon) - Our WIW mirror collapsed today! 

We wouldn't have known if Clara had not gone into the room and asked me why I tore down the room mirror. We were shocked when we saw the huge mess.

I quickly went to Pioneer Point to buy anti-cut gloves and thick trash bags while he started clearing up. Haiz, such a big mess but thankfully we managed to get everything cleared and cleaned by 7.30pm. It was tiring clearing up all the glass shards. We filled so many bags of glass pieces! My goodness, I was just standing in front of the mirror this morning and it collapsed 2.5 hours later.  

11 Mar 2025 (Tues) - Aircon uncle Ah Peng came this morning to fix the trunking that had been torn apart. He did not charge us for it. Such a nice uncle!

12 Mar 2025 (Wed) - Mr Kok arranged for his workers to come and help us fix the wall. The top panel mirror was removed, the wall fixed and repainted. I am so thankful for the quick service rendered.

1 Apr 2025 (Tues) - I ordered a new mirror on Shopee over the weekend and it was delivered this morning. Gold frame. 180 x 100cm. Engaged a handyman to come by in the evening to do wall mounting. It's so nice! So happy to have a full-length mirror again!

Aircon Overhaul and Repainting Walls

6 Feb 2025 - This the day we bade our 5-year old LG System 4 goodbye. It's a massive project that includes changing of trunking, piping, insulation, wiring...etc. We tried to cover up our furniture with plastic sheets as much as we could in the morning but the house was still super dusty. I banished myself to one corner of the sofa and binge-watched drama. Clara returned home at 4.30pm and I also banished her to sit on her chair in the LVR. We could not access anywhere else in the house, lol.

I decided to escape to JP again and brought Clara along. We had dinner at Malaysia Boleh and C joined us after school. We got home at 8.30pm but the aircon was not done yet. Haiz, it will have to drag on to tomorrow. Started cleaning up after uncle left. Sooo messy and dirty. I tried cleaning the MBR and gave up. Luckily daddy can clean very well, wahahahhaa! 

7 Feb 2025 - Our aircon installation continued today and was done around 1.30pm. Thankfully it wasn't too dusty, phew! Now we have a System 1 for our MBR (15000 BTU) and a System 3 for the LVR (18000 BTU), study (9000 BTU) and kids' bedroom (9000 BTU). Dyson-ed the house 3 times throughout the day and cleaned some of the furniture that I felt got especially dusty yesterday. Furniture such as the wheels of our 4 study chairs, haha. So happy our new aircon is finally up and running. The final step would be to buy paint and paint parts of the walls that sustained ugly marks in the process.
